Baldwin's Quarry is a privately owned company. Kerry Reilly, Managing Director, purchased the land in 1999.
Early development of the quarry was difficult because access was limited due to the steep gradients.
In its first few years of development, the quarry focused on mainly lower and upper base coarse products and processed a small part of the CHERT deposit for exposed concrete aggregate.
With careful management of resources and diligent planning, Baldwin's Quarry is now easily accessible.
The continued programme for the removal of over burden is allowing for further development of stock yard areas.
During progressive developments, it became apparent that the resource was of high quality rock.
Kerry purchased well matched crushing equipment which allows the quarry to now produce a full range of aggregates.
With two primary/secondary plants, one tertiary plant and five additional screening plants, we can guarantee an uninterrupted supply of aggregates.
